The 3” Skip Shrimp is a perfect option for pressured fish or when fishing super clear water conditions and a more subtle approach is required. It’s a smaller version of the 4” Skip Shrimp, but with a little less darting action for pressured, less aggressive fish. We fish them double rigged under popping corks when searching for summer trout. They are nearly buoyant-neutral, so 1/8th to 1/16th ounce jig head or an unweighted straight J hook is the ticket. When you find birds diving on shrimp and the Skip Shrimp is a little too big or obnoxious, hang a pair of Bait Shrimp under a cork and give them something a little different.
