The Swamp Shad is the first cousin to the Storm Minnow. Same size, same paddle tail design but with a chartreuse tail designed for dirty or stained water conditions or when fish aren’t actively feeding and need a little something extra. In either case, it’s all about contrast and the Swamp Shad delivers. It’s a great search bait for trout when fished on a ¼ ounce plain jig head under a popping cork or on a spinner bait jig head for bass and redfish. Rig it on a 3/8 or ½ ounce jig head when jigging deeper stained water around bridge pilings in the fall and spring or rig legs in the summer.
